The Company

Theatre Undeclared is a collaborative ensemble dedicated to creating original productions that incorporate music in new and surprising ways. Founded in December of 2008 by three Carleton College students, Alex Higgin-Houser (’10), David Kornfeld (’11) and Laura Stratford (’09), Theater Undeclared has collaborated with unbelievable casts to create “Liberal Arts: the Musical!” (Spring-Fall, 2009) and their current production, “Grind!”. The company’s founders believe that music and theater (and sometimes even musical theater) are unique windows into human experience, and that through group collaboration these elements can come together to create performances that challenge, coax and crack up audiences and actors alike.
